About
My name is Nick Lamendola, I’ve been of member of ASRAS since 2000. I really enjoy wide field imaging done with a DSLR and various camera lens, mainly using a tracking mount. The wonder of a star filled sky on a clear night never ceases to amaze me, I have to look up. Nature photography, birding, hiking, and wood working are other activities I enjoy.
Equipment
Currently using a Nikon D750 full frame DSLR camera, usually mounted on a Star Adventurer tracking mount, made by Sky-Watcher. Some of my favorite lens to use are:
- Samyang 14mm f2.4
- Samyang 35mm f1.4
- Nikkor 180mm f2.8 ED AI-S
- Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro
- Sigma 50mm f1.4
Essential accessories for me include an intervalometer, dew heater strip with controller and batteries, and Bahtitnov focusing mask.
