Supernova 2007pk in NGC 579

image Discovered by Lick Observatory Supernova Search (USA).   This is a pecular type II supernova found young.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the discovery image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Andromeda.
