sn00cm_i.jpg Good things sometimes come in small packages. Marked as "Anonymous" in the IAUC, FGC 1384 is a small, mag 16.8, relatively nearby galaxy. Because this is a type Ia event the supernova is outshining it's parent galaxy by over a magnitude. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.
