Supernova 1994I in M51

SN1994I.jpg Supernova 1994I was one of the brighter Sn from the recent past. Announced in IAUC 5961 this supernova was discovered independently by several people. 1994I was discovered in the magnitued 8.4 Whirlpool galaxy (aka M51, NGC 5194) in UMa. This supernova got as bright as magnitued 12.8. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.
