Supernova 2002cr and 2002ed in NGC 5468

This page is devoted to information on Supernova 2002cr and Supernova 2002ed in NGC 5468 Basic information on this SN, including the last reported brightness, on this Supernova can be found on the main page.  Information on the original web pages for many of these images can be found on the updates and links web pages.

sn02cr_i.jpg Discovered by Japanese astronomer Reiki Kushida, and independently by LOTOSS. This one is a type Ia, found on the rise. Note that this is the second supernova in this galaxy since I have been keeping track. The first was 1999cp. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the LOTOSS discovery image.

sn02ed_i.jpg Berto Monard was checking 2002cr and this thing popped out. This will be the third SN in this galaxy in the past 4 years, and the second "double SN" in the past 6 months. Icon generated from the Berto's discovery image.

The following is a list of images of this SN, in chronological order. Click on the name in the "observer" column to see the image. Times and dates are in UT unless otherwise noted. If you know of any others, please tell me!
