A thin crescent Moon and Jupiter in the West will be the early targets\, and a few dim objects like the Orion Nebula after 9pm as it gets darker. Watch the skies to make sure that clearing sky forecast holds. Dress warm as although the temp is expected in the mid 40’s a brisk wind will make it feel much colder on top of the tower in the wind. \nFree! Park behind the planetarium and just before entering the rear glass doors\, climb the 61 steps to the observing tower. A 90% gibbous Moon and a shaky\, low Jupiter in the West will be the early targets\, and a few dim objects like the Orion Nebula after 9pm as it gets darker. Watch the skies to make sure that clearing sky forecast holds. Dress warm as although the temp is expected in the mid 40’s a brisk wind will make it feel much colder on top of the tower in the wind. \nFree! Park behind the planetarium and just before entering the rear glass doors\, climb the 61 steps to the observing tower. We’ll be here weekly through late Fall if sky conditions are expected to be at least partly clear. We start around dusk and end at 10:30pm. Questions?
