Welcome to the Boneyard.
On this page you will find entries for objects that have been confirmed
as Cataclysmic variable s, asteriods (otherwise known as
Vermin of the sky ), or some other non extragalactic event.
Why keep them around? Because you never know when something like this will
come back to life...

Vermin of the sky entomology:
* - A star (not variable)
AGN - Active galactic nucleus
CV - Celestial Variable (variable star in this galaxy)
Flare - Flare star - small Type M stars often flare
galaxy - Spectrum was the sepectrum of a galaxy, not an SN
HII - HII region (gas cloud) in a galaxy
HP - Hot Pixel - Flaw on imager (I also catagorize other imager issues here)
HPM - High Proper Motion (fast moving star)
LPV - Long Period Variable
MP - Minor Planet (asteroid)
Nova - Galactic Nova
NT - Nuclear Transient
QSO - Quasi Stellar Object
Quasar - confirmed QSO
unconfirmed - It was discovered, but nobody could confirm the discovery
YSO - Young Steller Object
