Supernovae 2014dt in M61

This page is devoted to information on Supernova 2014dt in M61.   Basic information on this SN, including the last reported brightness, on this Supernova can be found on the main page.   Information on the original web pages for many of these images can be found on the links web page.

image Discovered by Koichi Itagaki (Japan).   This one is a Type Ia-pec (z=0.0052).   Another one in a Messier galaxy.   There were 7 other supernova discoveries in this galaxy.   All of the recent discoveries were type IIs, this one is a Ia.   The other object found in M61 this year was PSN J12215513+0428169 which was probably a nova.   We have a Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.   This supernova is in the Constellation Virgo.
