image Discovered by Takao Kobayashi (Japan).   Found on the last day of 2008. This one is a type IIn.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the Denisenko and Korotkiy confirmation image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Canes Venatici.
