Supernova 2007aa in NGC 4030

sn07aa_i.jpg Discovered by Takao Doi (USA/Japan).   Note that Takao Doi is not only an amature astronomer, he is also a JAXA/NASA astronaut.   He flew on STS-87 and is a space walker.   This is his second discovery.  This one is a type II found young.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the K. Itagaki image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Virgo.
