sn01ib_i.jpg Discovered independantly by British amateurs Mark Armstrong and Ron Arbour. For a galaxy of this type, this supernova is unusually bright. I posted the first data on this supernova early Saturday morning, and by Sunday afternoon I was generating a web page to hold images of it. We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal. Icon created from Mark Armstrong's discovery image.
