Supernova 2005bf in MCG +00-27-5

sn05bf_i.gif Discovered independantly by Berto Monard (South Africa) and Lick Observatory Supernova Search (USA).   This is one of the supernova which holds the distinction of having changed type from type Ic to type Ib.   This one also has an unusual light curve as noted by CSP.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the discovery image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Sextans.
