Supernova 2004dk in NGC 6118

sn04dk_i.gif Discovered by Lick Observatory Supernova Search.   A rare type Ic found very young in an NGC galaxy near declination 0.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the LOSS discovery image.  This supernova is in the Constellation Ophiuchus.
